The minutes from the meeting held on 3 November 2022 have now been published. At this meeting the draft budget was reviewed. The budget proposals have been published under the accounts section. The budget and precept will be set at our next meeting on 5 January 2023.

The agenda for the Parish Council meeting which will be held on 3 November 2022 at 7,30 pm has now been published.

Fireworks Display Friday 4th November

The fireworks display will be held on Friday 4th November.  The gates will open at 6.45pm and the fireworks will start at 7.20pm.

The entrance charge is £5 for adults and children under 16 are free. Please do not bring dogs to this event.

The friends of Loddington school will be serving refreshments and snacks to raise funds for the school.

Please come along with family and friends to support this event.

Notice of conclusion of audit

The External Auditors- PKF Littlejohn LLP have completed their review of the AGAR for year ending 31 March 2022. The Notice of Conclusion of Audit can be found in the Accounts section, along with Sections 1,2 and 3 of the AGAR document.

Notice of Vacancy in office of Councillor

Notice is hereby given
that due to the resignation of Councillor Hannah Reneerkens, a vacancy now exists in the
office of Councillor for Loddington Parish Council.
If by 10th October 2022 (14 days after the date of this notice excluding Saturdays, Sundays
and bank holidays), a request for an election to fill the vacancy is made in writing to the
Proper Officer, North Northamptonshire Council, Municipal Offices, Bowling Green Road,
Kettering, Northants, NN15 7QX by TEN electors for the Parish, an election will be held to fill the vacancy. If no such request is received the Parish Council may fill the vacancy by cooption.
If an election is called, it will take place no later than 13th December 2022.

Book of condolence for Her Majesty

Just a reminder that there is a book of condolence available in the church porch if you would like to mark your respects to Her Majesty. This will be available until Tuesday 20 September, along with floral tributes. This will then be removed in line with official guidelines.

Parish Council meeting 1 September 2022

The minutes from the Parish Council meeting held on 1 September are now available to view.

Reading of the Proclamation in the Parish

Councillor Alan Durn in his capacity of Chairman of Loddington Parish Council will read the proclamation at 4pm on Sunday 11th September. This will take place in the churchyard around the commemorative Horse Chestnut tree, which was dedicated during the Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

The church will be open tomorrow from 9 am to 4.30pm and there will be a service at 9.15 am, which will begin by remembering Her Majesty. If you would like to mark your respects, you may wish to leave a tribute in the book of condolence, which will be available in the church during Sunday. It will then be placed in the porch thereafter for the following few days.

In memory of Her Majesty The Queen

Our thoughts are with the Royal Family following news that Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon.

Following the announcement, the union flag at St. Leonard’s church was flown at half-mast. 

There will be a church service at St. Leonard’s at 9.15 am on Sunday. Anyone wishing to leave flowers as a tribute to Her Majesty can lay them at the commemorative Horse Chestnut tree, which was dedicated in the churchyard during the Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

Further guidance will be issued regarding the reading of the Proclamation in the Parish.
