We held our annual village litter pick in April. We advertised the date on our noticeboards, village magazine and website and also asked the village Brownie and Beaver packs to join us. The children, accompanied by adults, picked around the village and our ‘regulars’ picked along the roads into the village. The roads into the village were particularly bad, one of our families found a bathroom suite at the side of the road! They cleared up around it and reported it to KBC. Our youngest volunteer at age 5 enjoyed using her litter picker, had a rest at the alpaca’s field and learnt what was litter and not to fill her bag with leaves! Then it was back to the sports pavilion for well earned drinks and biscuits.
